Picking my dad up from school after I get out, which sounds backwards doesn’t it? Well that is what I did today after I left from New Town (My father teaches elementary school in Howard County). Every Friday he allows me to drive the car to and from school, however since I was going to my mother’s I went to pick him up, then I was on the train to my mom’s after he dropped me off. While sitting there waiting for him to exit the building, looking at the elementary school made me reminisce to my younger days, all the way to pre-k. It’s so crazy now because in a couple of months I will be attending college. Wow time has really passed. I miss the days with a less amount of responsibilities, everything just seemed simpler. Well no need to ponder on the past anymore, on to the future I go.

Day#22
A day off of school, as well as a beautiful day outside, this is the life. All throughout the day I have been relaxing whether it’s chilling outside with my friends or just watching television. I envisioned this day as my recuperating day yesterday; therefore I completed all my homework last night, leaving me a free day to do whatever I pleased. A great plan I think, only thing school wise that I will complete today is my nightly studying, therefore on test day I am not cramming all information in my head at one time.

Day#21
All these papers you see here are all for one class, that class being Engineering&Tech. An abundant amount of data had to be recorded on a project we completed in class, call the "Plinko Board", a project solely on learning and working with probability. Following the project were two essays (rough and final draft) analyzing what you had to do to complete a successful plinko board as well how to find probability. Being in a class full of freshmen I always wondered why I wasn’t put in this class as a freshman seeing that it’s a freshmen class! However everything is copasetic, I just see it as another opportunity to sharpen my math and technology skills before I head to college. There are excellent and terrible qualities to everything, I’m choosing to stick with the good qualities.

Day# 2.20
College Algebra Honors, lets just say before I took this class math was my favorite subject, now I don’t even know if this is true anymore. This class is really a challenge, not saying challenges are a bad thing because when you conquer them, you as an individual experience accomplishment. However this is really my first instance of having a difficult time in a math class. Currently my grade is a high C, I have been working hard for that grade to, but I know attending coach classes on a constant basis will allow my grades to soar sky high in the future. Now I just have to start putting in this extra work, and I am sure this will benefit me significantly.

Day #2.19
After recently completing my first college rough draft essay for North Carolina A&T, I feel a small amount of weight has been lifted off of my shoulders! Not only did I complete the essay, but I consider the essay to be written well. I took my time writing in addition to having my mother proofread my work. Now it’s just time to get the final review from my teachers, I have high hopes everything checks out well. Having the ability to receive criticism will only shape me into becoming a better individual, as well as improve my writing skills.

Day #2.18
This is how my bed looks every time I come back to my dad's from my mother’s house, clothes everywhere! From unpacking, and also the washing off my clothes from the previous week, it could take me about 20-25 minutes to get my bed straight. Imagine arriving home late and seeing all these clothes, at times I don’t even feel like cleaning up. However being that I’m use to my room looking like this every other 2 weeks (the time I go to spend the weekend with my mother), I just put things away without thinking about it. I mean that’s the only my room will become clean; the clothes aren’t going to put themselves away.

Day# 2.17
These are the 3-D glasses I used when I went to see "Lion King" with my mother. Lion King being my favorite movie as a child, going to see this movie again brought back countless memories of my childhood. I also was able to spend time with my mother; as a result this day was a win-win situation for me.

Day 2.16
These particular items have been on my dresser at my mother’s house since I was the age of 11-12. Those trophies are a couple of the many I have received; the majority of my trophies are located at my dad’s house. I received a bulk of theses trophies in my younger years when I played basketball, football, and basketball, as you can see by looking at the picture. The plaque with my name on it is very important to me as well. I received the plaque as a gift from my Uncle while he was serving duty over in Afghanistan. I guess just looking at all these items just symbolized my childhood, and it made me think back to the simpler days when I was young.
Day #2.15
What you’re looking at now is my mom’s vision board. She created this board to keep herself motivated to reach her future goals. Throughout the board you can see many quotes, bible verses, and magazine articles displaying cars, houses and etc. The vision board is basically a tool my mom uses to put all her thoughts and goals on, so she can push herself and stays focused so one of these days she can look back at board and say “She accomplished all of these things”.
