Day#2.7 AVID Senior Reflection

Jasean Fowlkes has been an attendee in AVID since the 9th grade, he faced a myriad of challenges that pushed him far and beyond his limits.  This included becoming comfortable in himself to stand up in front of an audience and speak with confidence (Donà made Jasean attempt this multiple times), and learning to trust people to a certain extent. AVID was all about becoming a family, when you felt yourself falling apart there were individuals to help pick your spirits back up. Now in his senior year, his journey is far from over, many applications and essays have to be completed for college. Searching for scholarships is the following step, he plans to earn thousands of dollars towards his education, this step will benefit Jasean’s parents tremendously. Having numerous colleges in mind, his first choice would be North Carolina A&T, majoring in Computer Engineering. Additional colleges include University of Maryland College Park, Delaware State, Clark Atlanta, and Morgan. Nothing will deter Jasean from achieving his overall goal, which includes graduating with honors with a degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina A&T, and establishing a successful computer enterprise. As he approaches the conclusion of high school, the only object standing in his way to glory is himself, staying productive and positive will guide Jasean to present and future success.
